Head of Fundraising
Fundraising | Supporting Wounded Veterans | £50k | Permanent
Advert
I’ll start with the two things I think are most important to know about this charity:
1.
They are a veterans charity, not a military charity. They are focused on the wellbeing and recovery of soldiers who aren’t getting the care they need, whether that be arranging challenges and trips to engage and inspire them, or funding a £2m ground-breaking research project at King’s College London to use MDMA in the treatment of PTSD. They are an innovative charity who are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
2.
They might be a small charity with revenue fundraising of £1.2m, but their contact network is genuinely phenomenal. Their board contains people like the ex-CEO and current NED of Blackrock. They raised the £2m capital needed to fund the KCL research project I mentioned above without breaking a sweat. The untapped potential here can’t be understated.

The Role
You will be the Head of Fundraising and whilst you will have an Events Lead and Corporate Lead working with you, they are very self-sufficient and you won’t be spending your time managing them, the relationship is a more collegial one.
You will work closely with the board, CEO, and wider SMT to build out their major donor and trust programme. These stakeholders are already heavily involved in their fundraising efforts and you will find willing colleagues who are looking for an injection of new, strategic vigour.
If you like what we do, the role is grabbing your attention, and you like what you’ve read above, then we’d wholeheartedly recommend you read our application pack, by following the link below and consider putting an application together.
